CX2 Raises $31M in Series A
Led by Point 72 Ventures with Participation from 8VC, Andreesen Horowitz, Upfront and others
Excited to share the latest news about my 3rd start up, CX2!
LOS ANGELES, May 20, 2025 -- CX2, a defense technology company building intelligent, multi-domain electronic warfare (EW) capabilities for the tactical edge, today announced a $31 million Series A funding round to accelerate the development and deployment of its next-generation EW systems. The round was led by Point72 Ventures with participation from existing investors Andreessen Horowitz and 8VC as well as new investors 201 Ventures, Pax Ventures and Upfront Ventures.
Modern warfare has created an urgent challenge for U.S. forces operating in contested electromagnetic environments. As demonstrated in Ukraine and other recent conflicts, adversaries have invested heavily in electronic warfare capabilities while U.S. systems have atrophied after decades of underinvestment.
CX2 is building a portfolio of attritable, machine learning-powered electronic warfare solutions that enable the complete kill chain—from sensing to strike. Their enterprise platform and autonomous systems help warfighters rapidly locate, target, and neutralize electromagnetic threats at the tactical edge, even in contested and communications-denied environments. This provides commanders with real-time threat response capabilities at reduced cost.
“We are honored and excited to be partnering with Point72 Ventures to accelerate the development and deployment of our next generation electronic warfare products, which will help ensure US spectral dominance on the 21st century battlefield,” said Nathan Mintz, CEO and Co-Founder of CX2. “Chris and his team are phenomenal partners with unique insight into the defense space and we are thrilled to have them join 8VC and Andreessen Horowitz.”

"We believe electronic warfare represents one of the most critical capability gaps in U.S. defense," said Chris Morales, partner at Point72 Ventures. "CX2's approach to building attritable, intelligent EW systems align perfectly with what we see as the future of warfare. Their team combines the right mix of defense tech experience, RF engineering expertise, and software talent needed to build a next-generation EW prime."

The funding will accelerate the development of CX2's product suite and enable the company to expand its team, which has grown from four founders to more than twenty employees in its first year.
